about

Episode 2

For the optimal experience, this episode was written to be listened to on the National Mall.

“So you leave a message. You say there was a girl on a Metro platform. You think her name is Natalie. You think she jumped to her death. Another page has something that could be a map of the National Mall. Or it could be scribblings. But that’s where you go now. That great stretch of green in the middle of the city. You will start at one of far ends. If it’s the East end, stroll through the sculpture garden at 7th and Constitution. Imagine the twisted metal coming alive and shadowing you on spider limbs. If you start on the West end, go to the Vietnam Wall. Look at the names. Find the ghost--the one with your face--staring back at your from inside the black marble. Pause the recording. When you have finished these things things, continue.”
